The disc centrifuge is a kind of vertical centrifuge, which can separate the solid liquid and the liquid liquid in a rapid and continuous manner.
Inside the drum is a set of disc - shaped parts that overlap each other - discs.
There is a small gap between the disc and the disc. Suspension (or emulsion) is added to the drum by the feed tube at the center of the drum.
When the suspension (or emulsion) passes through the gap between the discs, the solid particles (or droplets) sink down to the disc under gentrification to form a sediment (or liquid layer).
The sediment slides off the disc along the surface of the disc and accumulates in the part with the largest diameter inside the drum.
The separated liquid is discharged from the outlet of the drum. The function of disc is to shorten the settlement distance of solid particles (or drops) and enlarge the settlement area of drum.
The solid accumulated in the drum is removed manually after the separator stops working, or is discharged from the drum without stopping through the slag discharge mechanism.
