I. Introduction As an important metallurgical and chemical raw material in my country, manganese ore plays a vital role in industrial development. However, the wastewater problem generated during manganese mining also poses a serious challenge to the environment. Manganese mine wastewater contains a large amount of pollutants. If not properly treated, it will pose a major threat to the surrounding ecological environment and human health. This paper aims to explore the current situation, hazards and treatment measures of manganese mine wastewater. II. Current situation of manganese mine wastewater 1. Source of wastewater: Manganese mine wastewater mainly comes from manganese mining, mineral processing, smelting and other links. Among them, the wastewater generated during mineral processing is particularly serious. 2. Pollution components: Manganese mine wastewater contains heavy metal ions such as manganese, iron, and phosphorus, as well as pollutants such as suspended solids and organic matter. 3. Scope of pollution: Manganese mine wastewater has a serious impact on the surrounding water bodies, soil, crops and other ecological environments, leading to water quality deterioration, soil pollution, crop yield reduction and other problems. III. Hazards of manganese mine wastewater 1. Ecological environmental pollution: Heavy metal ions and organic matter in manganese mine wastewater cause serious pollution to water bodies, soil and other ecological environments, affecting biodiversity. 2. Threat to human health: Heavy metal ions in manganese mine wastewater can easily enter the human body through the skin, respiratory tract and other pathways, posing a potential threat to human health. 3. Waste of resources: The useful components in manganese mine wastewater are not fully utilized, resulting in waste of resources. IV. Measures for the treatment of manganese mine wastewater 1. Wastewater treatment technology: Use physical, chemical, biological and other methods to treat manganese mine wastewater, including coagulation sedimentation, adsorption, ion exchange, membrane separation, etc. 2. Resource utilization: Extract the useful components in manganese mine wastewater and convert them into resources such as organic fertilizers and building materials. 3. Pollution prevention and control projects: Strengthen the construction and transformation of manganese mine wastewater treatment facilities to ensure that wastewater discharge meets relevant national standards. 4. Policy and regulatory constraints: Improve the relevant laws and regulations on manganese mine wastewater treatment and strengthen the supervision of enterprises discharging wastewater. V. Conclusion Manganese mine wastewater treatment is an important task in my country's environmental protection work. In the process of manganese ore resource development, we must attach great importance to wastewater treatment, take effective measures, increase governance efforts, ensure that environmental quality is effectively improved, and contribute to sustainable development. At the same time, enterprises should also assume social responsibility, actively develop and promote wastewater treatment technology, and achieve a win-win situation of economic and environmental benefits.
