Once more, the specific gravities of the liquids to be separated must be very different for certain decanter centrifuges to work.
Changing the relative humidity of the separated solids in a decanter centrifuge while running is impractical. Nevertheless, a disc-stack centrifuge does allow for the adjustment of sludge dryness.
