The material is continuously introduced into the screw through the feeding pipe and evenly distributed to the screw outlet. Under the action of centrifugal force, the solid phase settles onto the wall of the drum, and is pushed out from the spiral feeder towards the slag outlet of the conical drum. The liquid phase flows out along the spiral towards the overflow hole at the large end of the drum, forming a small end for solid phase to exit and a large end for liquid phase to exit. Working mechanism
The three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge is mainly composed of a driving part, a rotating drum, and a screw conveyor. It has a compact structure and small volume. Its operation is based on the principle of sedimentation, which means that solid particles with a specific liquid weight precipitate out within a predetermined time. For two immiscible liquids with a specific gravity difference, this principle can also be applied. When the material enters the high-speed rotating drum, it rotates synchronously with the drum. Due to different densities, it receives different centrifugal forces. Solid particles with higher specific gravity are subjected to the greatest centrifugal force, followed by water, and dirty oil is the smallest. This forms a concentric solid layer and two liquid layers from the outside to the inside according to the magnitude of the centrifugal force. The solid is pushed out by the screw conveyor, and the liquid is discharged from its respective guide ports. So the application of a three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge can not only separate the solids in the three sludge, but also separate the dirty oil in the three sludge, that is, it can perform solid-liquid and liquid-liquid separation.
Application in oil sludge treatment
The three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge has shown great advantages in the treatment of three sludge, as it can not only separate the solids in the oil sludge, but also the dirty oil in the oil sludge, which is incomparable to other separation methods. At the same time, the moisture content and oil content of the dry mud treated by a three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge have decreased to varying degrees. The comparison of the oil sludge situation after separation using vacuum filter and three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge is as follows: the average moisture content of the dry sludge treated with vacuum filter from January to June 1997 is compared with that of the dry sludge separated with three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge from January to June 2001. Comparing Table 1, it was found that after using a three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge in 2001, the average moisture content of the dry mud decreased by 6I3%, due to the decrease in moisture content of the dry mud. On the one hand, it reduces the amount of pulling and lowers the transportation cost; On the other hand, it reduces the amount of oil sludge entering the natural environment and reduces pollution to the environment. Through the above comparisons, it can be concluded that the use of a three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge has a significant effect on treating three types of sludge.
