Decanter can use limit space to fit together different stages of separation.
Mixing and Accelerating Stage
Sludge and chemical mixes in the specially designed feed chamber and accelerates together. This prepares the sludge for best separation.
Clarifying Stage
The flocculants sediments inside the bowl under centrifugal force, the clear liquid flows out of the weir an the end of the bowl.
Pressing Stage
Conveyor pushes the solid toward the discharge end. The sludge is further pressed by centrifugal force and the water comes out of the small holes of the sludge
Double-direction Pressing Stage
In the conical part of the bowl wall, the sludge is pressed by specially designed double direction pressing effect. The specially designed conveyor produces axial pressing force and water comes out of the tiny holes of the sludge.
Control the Staying Time of Solid In order to achieve best dewatering effect when flow rate or character of sludge changes, the solid content inside the bowl should be continuously controlled.
This is controlled by the drive system of the conveyor. The drive system of the conveyor can measure real-time the solid content inside the bowl and adjust automatically, solid discharge torque automatically compensated

Technology
A decanter centrifuge consists of a rotating bowl with an independent rotating scroll inside. The solids and the liquid (sludge/slurry), which are subject for dewatering, are fed through an inlet pipe into a mixing chamber in the scroll where polymer is supplied to get a flocculation and provide a better dewatering performance. The slurry is thrown out to the bowl´s outer walls and are transported out from the decanter through the scroll while the centrate water is pressed back to the centrate outlet. The water level in the bowl is regulated, and the nature of the slurry determines what water level that is appropriate. The drum and the scroll rotate independently up to 3600 RPM depending on model and type of slurry.
Operating principle:
The purpose of separation is to separate out substances with different mass ratios from mixed fluid.Separation forms included solid-liquid separation,liquid-liquid separation and liquid-liquid-solid separation.
When mixed fluid enters rotating bowl of centrifuge through feed tube ,solids with larger density would rapidly deposit on inner wall of the bowl,forced by centrifugal acceleration.Then spiral pusher pushed deposited solids to taper end of the bowl,and discharges them out of centrifuge from residual outlet.Meanwhile ,liquid phase with smaller density forms a liquid ring layer and discharges from bowl through overflow port,the bowl and spiral pusher run at a high speed simultaneously ,for there exists speed discrepancy,deposited solids on the wall of bowl could be conveyed to residue outlet by spiral pusher.This separation process carry out continuously.
