DDGS Dewatering decanter CentrifugeWith the introduction of mandatory measures on the time limit of sewage companies, the management of DDGS in the brewing industry has become a top priority for many manufacturers. LWS series three phase decant centrifuge is used for solid-liquid-liquid separation, namely one kind of solid phase (with largest specific gravity ) and two kind of immiscible liquid phase with different density. The conveyor rotates in the same direction as the bowl, but at a different speed, the material is fed into the bowl through a stationary feed pipe. Centrifugal forces cause instant sedimentation of the solids on the wall of the bowl, while two liquid phases forming light liquid phase layer and heavy liquid phase layer. Scroll conveys the solids towards the conical end of the bow, and out of centrifuge from solid discharge port. The light liquid phase then is discharged out continuously through the overflow port at the large end of the bowl, and the heavy liquid phase will be discharged out through the centrifugal pump large end of the bowl, thus realizing the three-phase separation.
Decanter centrifuge is dependent on the density difference of solid-liquid two phases, under the action of centrifugal force, to accelerate the sedimentation rate of solid particles to achieve solid-liquid separation. The centrifuge consists of two rotors, one is called a rotating drum, and the other rotor is a spiral discharger (referred to as a spiral). When the drum rotates at a high speed, the slurry in the drum rotates with the drum and is subjected to centrifugal force, which is many times larger than the gravity force, so that the solid particles will be separated from the liquid, from the centrifuge drum axis, settling to the inner wall of the drum, the spiral discharger located in the drum rotates at a lower speed than the drum and pushes the deposited solid particles to the slag outlet. The speed difference between the external drum and the screw discharger depends on the differential mechanism ratio and its speed.
